Whatever your motor sport, I guarantee you'll always have one vital piece of equipment
with you; your mobile phone. And once you've tried SportsDo on your phone, you'll
wonder how you ever did without it.
Racing statistics
I race circuits so my car has a fitted timing transponder. But SportsDo tells me
my speed, lap time, distance travelled (and lots of other stats) in real time as
I go. It's safest to pick SportsDo's voice announcement mode, but there's also a
large-format readout option which works great too.
Always with you
Because it's on my phone, I can use SportsDo anywhere. I've done some co-piloting
on cross country events and it really comes into its own then. I particularly like
SportsDo's route traces, because they show how our speed performance changed across
the route.
Sharing with friends
SportsDo saves all its information as I go. I can use SportsDo Live to transmit
regular bursts of information to the web so that other club members – or Joe Public
if I like – can follow my progress in real time. I also have family members at meets
who don't want to use the web while they're watching the action – but they can get
regular text messages with my key stats sent automatically to their phones. It's
great for getting everyone involved in the excitement.
Always improving
Improving at racing isn't just about having a good car and the right attitude, it's
also about improving all your driving skills. But you can only really improve your
performance when you've got feedback on the stats that matter. SportsDo provides
all the evidence I need to raise my game. It also does the analysis for me.
Personal journal
The simple upload procedure lets me manage and share all my activity information
on the SportsDo portal. My personal log contains records of all my activities, including
detailed maps. I can set my log to be visible to everyone, to my friends and fellow
club members, or just to myself. We generally share all our information in the club
and our SportsDo pages are beginning to drive some of the best conversations. Drivers
love to help each other as well as compete, and having the data gives us a real
focus.
You can take SportsDo anywhere. It'll faithfully keep you posted on your performance,
hook you up with your mates and document your adventures. And it's simple, like
it should be. I want to spend my energies on my car and my driving – SportsDo just
adds to the passion.
